Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of the Billboard Ranking learning strategy on student learning outcomes in statistics learning material for class VIII students at MTs Nw Aik Bukaq. This research is an experimental type research with a posttest research design–only control group desigen. The population in this study were all class VIII students at MTs Nw Aik Bukaq using two classes, namely VIII A and VIII B, VIII B totaling 23 students as the experimental class using the ranking billboard strategy and VIII A totaling 23 as the control class using conventional methods. The data collection technique used is a test in the form of an essay/description to measure student learning outcomes. The data analysis technique used in this research is the independent sample T-test using SPSS. Based on the results of research and data analysis carried out by researchers, there is an influence of the ranking billboard learning strategy on student learning outcomes in statistics learning material which can be seen from the significance value (2-tailed) obtained at 0.000 where 0.000 < the probability value (P- Value) is 0.05 with a sig value of 0.662 > 0.05, so that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. It can be concluded that the Billboard Ranking learning strategy influences student learning outcomes on statistics learning material.
